Profile

Hailing from Masvingo, Tendai Chisoro is a left-hand batsman and slow left-arm spinner from Zimbabwe. He made an impression on his ODI debut with figures of 5-2-16-3 against Afghanistan in 2015. Tendai started off with Centrals and has represented teams like Masvingo, Mid West Rhinos, Southern Rocks and Southerns in the domestic circuit. Initially, he began as a left-arm seamer, but transformed into a useful spinner for his club - Centrals. He climbed the ladder through the Under 14s, Under 16s and the Under 19s before making it to the national side.

In 2016, Tendai Chisoro and Sikandar Raza shared the highest ninth-wicket partnership for Zimbabwe in ODIs, with an unbeaten 91-run stand against West Indies. That partnership proved to be pivotal as Zimbabwe defeated West Indies in that match and knocked them out of the tri-series involving Sri Lanka too.

The start of 2018 has seen Tendai finding it hard to get into the ODI and T20 squad and with World Cup Qualifiers coming up, he would want to be a part of the Zimbabwean team again.
