PLAYER OF THE MATCH
South Africa go 1-0 up in the series. We will be back for the 2nd game. Do join us then, for now it's bye bye from all of us here.
Donovan Ferreira | South Africa captain: I'm very proud of the team effort over there. I think it was a collective effort. You know, we started really well in the powerplay with the bat and then finished off the innings really well with George Linde striking the ball nicely at the end there and then really kept it simple with the ball, just trying to hit top of off, you know, saw what they were doing and what was working on the wicket and yeah, it's just really keeping it nice and simple. Yeah, so I'm really, like you said, I'm really proud of the team and yeah, when guys are rested, it gives opportunities, like you say, to new guys and the guys really put up their hand today. I'm really proud of the way we bowled but I think we also put a really good score on the board and we defended it today. I think Reeza held it nicely together for us, which gave George the license at the end to explode. I'm really, really proud of them. Like I said, I think we had a really good start in the powerplay, which obviously set up the innings nicely. (on Bosch) He bowled really well. He had really good energy on the ball and he usually goes to his yorkers but I think he really hit the deck hard today and got something out of the deck. So, all credit must go to him and he just kept it nice and simple and yeah, four wickets is an amazing achievement.
Salman Ali Agha | Pakistan captain: We started well. We didn't start well when it comes to bowling but we pull things back. With the batting, we are losing too many wickets in the middle and we need to fix that and we need to make a quick turnaround in the previous time. I think we just need to do proper batting shift. We have to take singles and doubles and make partnerships and the partnerships are missing right now in the middle. If we have good partnerships, then we can chase these kind of totals. But right now, we are just losing too many wickets in the middle and that's costing us a game as well. I think we didn't bowl well when it comes to powerplay. We didn't start it well and I think it's a kind of wicket that if we had bowled right on top of the off stump it would've been good enough. But we didn't bowl well. But we bowled really well when it comes to bowling in the middle overs and that's positive for us.
George Linde | Player of the Match: To be honest, I don't think I deserve this award. I think Corbin Bosch and Reeza Hendricks were amazing. They set the game up well for us, and yeah, I feel they deserve this. That's obviously my role in the team, to try and finish games and stuff. So, yeah, I'm just glad it pulled off today, and hopefully next time we'll do it as well. To be honest, I knew what I wanted to do, but I didn't execute, unfortunately. But, yeah, I think I just tried too hard, and then next thing, I was just nice and calm and trying to bowl the ball. (on the next game) It's obviously an awesome venue. I've played there a few times. Obviously, Pakistan is an amazing team, and we know they're going to come out and try to win the next one, but we'll be ready for them.
23:30 Local Time, 18:30 GMT, 00:00 IST: South Africa become the first team to win a T20I batting first here in Pindi. They showed how to bowl on this wicket. Saim Ayub was dropped on 0 and struggled apart from the sixes he hit. Farhan was starved of the strike and he took a risk to give away his wicket. Then the hard lengths came from the South Africans and it produced wickets. Williams, Corbin Bosch and Ngidi outstanding as they hammered the pitch and forced mistakes. Babar went for 0 on his comeback game and the rest didn't make an impression. Only Nawaz managed to wield his willow well to make a quickfire 36 but by then the result was a foregone conclusion. Bosch was superb and he bowled some crackers. Even Burger who was a tad expensive today produced peaches at times. Pakistan couldn't handle the express pace and zip off the pitch. South Africa would be very happy with this win. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff....

Corbin Bosch to Naseem Shah, out Caught by de Kock!! Fourth for Corbin Bosch. Ends his spell with a wicket. A short of length delivery on off, no room to cut and Naseem Shah just does that, leaning back and can only manage to outside-edge it behind. Naseem was cramped for room there and also was backing away from the line of the ball. Naseem Shah c de Kock b Corbin Bosch 9(9) [4s-2]
